Here’s Jon ‘reflecting’ on a brilliant afternoon at Edgebaston Stadium. :D

The flying potter was facilitating a breakout session at Children At The HEART, Early Years Spring Conference hosted by Birmingham Early Years Networks.

Delegates got to doodle, wear and play with their clay…doing all the things you wouldn’t expect with the stuff. A fab, inspirational and fun session.

We get to work at some amazing venues and the conferencing facilities at the Cricket ground were second to none.

Once again we’ll be heading on down to Countrytastic to share our love of working with clay with thousands and thousands of families.

If you’ve never been to Countrytastic, we can whole heartily recommend. It’s perfect for families looking for a great day out, packed full of activities and agricultural inspired fun.

We’ll be there encouraging young makers to model Super Hero Fruit & Veg. You’ll be able to take your creations away with you on the day to dry and paint at home.

Countrytastic is a one day event and takes place this coming Thursday 28th March 2024 at The Three Counties Showground in Malvern.

Our practice is so varied…

One day we might be in a huge Nursery school in the centre of Birmingham exploring the benefits of working with clay with the U5’s, the next, we’re hosting a team building event with the board of directors of a multi-national.

Here we are, earlier this year set up and raring to go at National Physical Laboratory . The wheel’s are nicely coordinated with the conference room furniture don’t ya think! :D

We offer a range of ‘off the peg’ and bespoke team solutions to share with your colleagues or customers. Please take a look at our Team-building and Away-day pages on eastnorpottery.co.uk

We were hired by Turning Point Herefordshire to share the immeasurable benefits of working with clay with their staff as part of their annual team day celebrations.

Turning Point are a UK social enterprise providing support with drug and alcohol, mental health, learning disability and autism, employment, and sexual health.

We worked with x40 participants, each person hand modelling a clay tile based upon their individual roles with-in the organisation. Once all the tiles have been fired, glazed and mounted on boards, the work will be installed at Turning Point’s offices in Hereford – forming a gigantic oak tree panel and a permanent reminder of the power of collaboration!

“just wanted to say a big thank you for last week. The team loved the pottery and everyone seemed to get stuck in, which was great. Really looking forward to seeing the final piece.” Turning-Point UK
If you would like the Flying Potter to visit you, anywhere in the UK…or if you and your team fancy an away day in rural Herefordshire, please take a look at our Away Day and Team Building pages.

Delighted to announce we’ll once again be expounding the scientific attributes of clay at The Cheltenham Science Festival taking place 6-11 June 2023.

We’ve been a  staple of the MakerShack since 2016 and worked with 10’s of thousands of participants getting hands on with clay in this marvelous, family friendly interactive space.

Just to whet your appetite, here’s a few photos from the MakerShack last year….and a lovely little video produced by the the organisers.
