Nightlights and Lanterns

Half Term incoming…

It doesn’t seem like two minutes since the schools went back after the long Summer break, But somehow, the October half term holiday is only three weeks away. How did that happen!?

Looking for something to do?

If you are looking for a totally creative and entertaining activity to do with your little ones during half term…or just fancy trying something new with a friend – look no further.

Pottery for all ages

At 11am on Tuesday 27 October, we’re running one of our totally fabulous, intergenerational, clay modelling sessions.

Autumnal pottery fun

The seasonal theme is Nightlights and Lanterns and participants of all ages will have the opportunity to make and paint a pottery t-light lantern made from scratch, with real clay.

Coil pots

We’ll be exploring the coil pot technique, building our lanterns by layering ‘snakes’ of clay on top of each other and smoothing them off. Participants can personalise their creations by adding modelled details before painting them in tones of russet, ochre and crimson.

Fire & Glazed

At the end of the session you’ll leave your master piece with us to be fired & glazed. Once they have emerged from the kiln, we’ll drop you a line to let you know they are ready for collection. If you can’t collect, P+P can be purchased at £5 per item.
