We are fortunate to be able to offer our creative hens the choice of two versatile artist studio spaces in which to hold their party celebrations. The main studio boasting x8 potter’s wheels is popular with groups of girls choosing to wrestle with spinning mud and flying clay!
If participants are looking to make and paint a clay sculpture or model a coil pot creation, the potter’s wheels can be swapped for workbenches and stools giving ample table top space for their clay creations. Claire and her friends made full use of the furniture to produce an impressive array of coil pot goblets and pottery jugs.
Alternatively, some of our larger parties opt for the delightful ‘Bake Off’ ambience of The Potting Tent marquee on the Pottery lawn. Kitty’s hens, 22 in all, settled in for a morning of clay modeling, Prosecco tippling hen party fun. There was even time for each of the participants to make a pot on the potter’s wheel…and perform a hearty rendition of the potter’s wheel national anthem!
We have lots of hen party projects including collaborative works and individual makes. Please take a look at our clay modelling & potter’s wheel options and contact the Pottery to check availability. Tel 01531 633886 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Christmas is the perfect opportunity to present a loved one or friend with the gift of making pottery!
We have pottery experience vouchers in all denominations, redeemable on a whole range of clay makes and potter’s wheel courses. For example, A £20 voucher will enable the recipient not only to make a pot on the potter’s wheel but to paint and decorate it on the day. We’ll fire and glaze the masterpiece in our kiln, so it’s ready for collection from the Pottery a month or so later. Perfect for that arty family member or creative friend.
If you would like to purchase a Pottery Experience Voucher in time for Christmas please visit our dedicated page or contact the Pottery direct on 01531 633886 or email@example.com
Each pot made on a potter’s wheel by a first time participant is totally unique. The shape is as individual to its maker as their very own fingerprint – everybody holds their hands in a different way.
Once participants have experienced the joys of making a pot, they are offered the opportunity to further individualise their freshly thrown ware by decorating with coloured slips and underglazes.
The variety of approach to colour and theme is awe inspiring. Just take a look at the multitude of effects (and shapes) of these recently fired & glazed customer creations.

It sure was a busy one and we’ve had so much fun working with each and every one of our wonderfully creative visitors – thanks for coming!
We always ask if customers don’t mind posing for a photo or two, documenting their time spent with us. Think we managed to snap most of them:

We’ve entertained some lovely family adult groups of late. Karen and her grown-up children spent the whole day making pots on the kick wheels and hand- building coil pots whilst Hazel marked her 70th Birthday with a 1.5 hr shared potter’s wheel extravaganza in the Potting Tent marquee.
If you have an anniversary, birthday or family get-together planned, why not spend it in the relaxed and creative atmosphere of Eastnor Pottery.
