USP #3 Progression pathway

Once participants have gotten the pottery bug, there’s no stopping them. Punters have the opportunity to return again and again to further their skills and experience. There is always more to learn and we offer a progression pathway of classes and courses…which we think is pretty unique amongst one off experience providers.

8 people wearing aprons, stood outside Eastnor Pottery's front door. They are all holding a board of pots and look very happy.

One to one learning – in a group situ!

Our course sizes are small allowing plenty of individual attention. Whatever your experience, you’ll be offered tutoring appropriate to your skill level. Its not uncommon for beginners, improvers and seasoned clay addicts to be sat side by side on the same course, all progressing at their own pace. This communal learning can be incredibly affirming and totally inspiring.

Our x3 potter’s wheel experiences

Eastnor Pottery’s 90 minute Potter’s Wheel Introduction Class is so much more than a potter’s wheel taster. It’s one and a half hours’ of pure joy and technique. Participants learn so much, they leave the studio with their appetites well and truly whetted. In fact, many an Intro Class participant sign up for the Potter’s Wheel Day Course on the spot. A healthy proportion return for a third time for the Potter’s Wheel Weekend Course. Next thing, they’re buying wheels and establishing shed studios, returning to Eastnor to brush up on their skills and learn new shapes.

But, much more than all this progression pathway chat, we LOVE a returner! We get just as much enjoyment forging friendships with our lovely customers as they do when they return to Eastnor Pottery. For some returning potter’s, the pottery making is a small part of the overall Eastnor Pottery experience. It’s the location, the artist’s studio setting, and most of all, the legendary Eastnor Pottery welcome and hospitality.
