Eastnor Pottery USP(S)

Pottery pottery rah rah rah!

Pottery is definitely having a bit of a moment, fuelled in part by the popularity of C4’s brilliant Great Pottery Throwdown program. When we took the decision to offer recreational potter’s wheel courses and experiences, some 30 years ago, it was a pretty niche offer and we were one of only a handful of suppliers operating in the UK.

These days you can learn to make a pot on the potter’s wheel almost anywhere.

With all this choice and variety, we thought it high time to document just why aspiring potters choose Eastnor Pottery. Here’s just one of our Unique Selling Points (USP’s). More to follow in the next few weeks.

USP #1 Destination Eastnor

We are so fortunate to live and work in a beautiful rural place. We stroll through rolling meadows, a deer park and quiet village lanes on our daily commute. Once inside the Pottery building, the feeling of outside is never far away. All the windows offer views of rural tranquillity. A cottage garden, historic farm buildings, the village church, school and triangle, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the Malvern Hills. It’s super idyllic and looks wonderful whatever the season.

Lots to do for non potting partners

A lot of participants on our longer day and weekend potter’s wheel courses may visit with a +1. Non-potting partners choose to explore small Herefordshire market towns full of independent shops and cafes. Others walk the Malvern Hills experiencing breath taking views – the golden valley on one side and Wales on the other. Just last week, a couple who did our Weekend Potter’s Wheel Course fell in love with the area and vowed to return for a weeks’ holiday – two days of pottery, spending the rest of the time exploring the landscape they glimpsed on their way to the studio.

Our pottery courses and classes provide the perfect excuse to spend time in our gorgeous county.
