If you are unable to visit us – no problem, the Flying Potter can deliver the Eastnor Pottery experience to a venue of your choice anywhere in the UK.

Our nearest town is Ledbury – historic streets lined with brilliant independent shops, artisan cafes and restaurants. If it’s a city break you’re after, we’re equidistant to Gloucester, Worcester and Hereford.

Frequently Asked Questions
You will be working with clay (essentially mud!) so please dress appropriately. We’ll always recommend clothes and foot-ware you don’t mind getting splattered.
If you are attending one of our potter’s wheel experiences, we ask you to bring an apron and old towel/tea towel for drying hands and wheel head. Alternatively, you can hire an apron & towel bundle on the day for £5.
We allow for plenty of individual guidance and attention and set class/course sizes accordingly. We have a maximum of x16 participants per session on our Clay Modelling and Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel Classes. Longer, Potter’s Wheel Courses have a maximum of x8 participants. If you are attending a private group booking, we can accommodate up to x20.
Our brilliant Clay Modelling sessions in the school holidays are perfect for all the family and have no age restrictions. Our potter’s wheel experiences are currently designed just for adults and young people aged 16 yrs +
You’ll be so engrossed you won’t be able to consider anything other than the clay in your hand. For those seeking pre or post pottery refreshment, there is an open-air café in the village a 5 minute walk from the Pottery. Tea/coffee biscuits are available for potters spending a whole day or weekend with us.
If you are participating in our Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel Class – Yes – you have the option to take a pot away with you on the day. Fired work can take up to x6 weeks before it’s ready to be collected from the Pottery. (If it isn’t included in your experience, P+P can be arranged at £5 per item).
Getting Here
By road
The Herefordshire village of Eastnor is located 2 miles East of Ledbury on the A438. Ledbury – Tewkesbury road. We are not far from Junction 2 of the M50, connecting us with the M5 and rest of the motorway network. Once in the village, follow signs for the Pottery. Plenty of free parking in the carpark in front of the studio.
By rail
The market town of Ledbury is the nearest train station. You’ll need to pre-book a taxi to journey the 2 miles to the Pottery as there isn’t a taxi rank or public transport to Eastnor. For those considering walking, It’s a hilly 3 miles of muddy paths and recommended only for seasoned hikers.
