Valentines Day potter’s wheel experience for x2
It just so happens Valentines day falls on a Saturday this year, our most busiest day of the week for potter’s wheel courses and classes.
To celebrate, we are offering our amazing 1.5 hr Potter’s Wheel Intro Classes all day.
Those of you who have sampled the delights of our Potter’s Wheel Introduction Class will know participants share a potter’s wheel between two, making it the best ever activity to indulge in with your partner on the most romantic day of the year.
How it all works..
After a warm Eastnor Pottery welcome, you’ll be shown to your wheel and treated to a potter’s wheel demo by either Sarah Monk or Jon Williams – renowned studio potters.
Then it’s throw down time! You each get two turns, swapping in-between goes. Making a pot on the wheel is a superb spectator sport and we reckon you learn more by watching your potter’s wheel partner than when you are actually on the wheel yourself…. so you’ll never be bored and will be picking up valuable tips from the side-lines.
Decision time
At the end of the session you may, or may not have two pots to show for your efforts. You have three choices: 1) Do the most environmentally sound option and re-cycle all your pots, exiting the studio equipped only with your new found pottery prowess and some super photos. 2) You are each welcome to take your favourite pot away to dry and paint at home. 3) Pay £25 to have your pot fired and glazed at Eastnor Pottery. Your masterpiece will be ready for collection approx. six weeks later or P+P can be arranged at £5 per pot.
We cannot recommend this activity highly enough for couples looking for a memorable and unique Valentines day experience. You will love love love it!
