Soup!

The nights are drawing in….time to cosy indoors and eat home made soup! Imagine cupping your hands around a pottery bowl lovingly crafted by your own fair hand – how comforting!? If this idea warms the cockles, we have some news.

Join us 11am on Tuesday 28th October to make a soup bowl and spoon using the coil pot technique.

How it works.

We will explain and demonstrate the coiling process in easy to understand steps. Then it’s over to you!

You’ll be handed a lump of terracotta clay, hand tools and a board to work on.

Although you are expected to work independently, we are never far away to offer advice and guidance. Once you have completed your clay bowl & spoon, we will show you how to decorate it using coloured slips.

At the end of the session, you’ll leave your painted soup set with us to be fired, glazed and ready for collection about one month later.

Alternatively, p+p can be arranged at £5 per item.

Once you have your lovely creation at home, heat up your favourite soup and enjoy!
