Door to door clay delivery

What a service!

We’ve been using Valentine Clay Supplies for nearly 32 years and never fail to be impressed at the quality of the service they provide. Not only have their clay products remained consistently brilliant throughout this time, Valentine’s delivery network is second to none.

Top marks to the couriers

We average three clay deliveries a year and marvel at the logistics to get the pallet from factory quite literally to our front door. These 17 century country cottages aren’t designed for 7.5 tonne truck access you know!

Once the pallet has been skilfully manoeuvred to the doorstep, it’s down to us to complete the final leg of the clay’s journey.

Made of strong stuff

Sylvia, Sarah and Aimee rolled up their sleeves and transported our latest delivery, all x60 bags from door to clay store in just under 20 mins. Phew!

Ready to be turned into pots

Most of these bags will find their way into the hands of our wonderful potter’s wheel course participants. The clay in the blue bags gets used on our Potter’s Wheel Introduction Classes. These 1.5 hr sessions take place on most Fridays and Saturdays through-out the year. Honestly, it is the most fun and creative 90 minutes you’ll ever spend.

The clay in the brown bags is a beautifully smooth red earthenware. We use this one on our Day and Weekend Potter’s Wheel Courses. It handles very well on the potter’s wheels and fires a gorgeous brick red. We use this clay a lot in our own work. Sarah makes full use of it’s warm undertones on her small batch slipware and Jon uses it to make his outdoor sculpture and decorative pots.

Thank you

Thanks Dave, Paul and all the team at Valentines…and the haulage companies, you all do an amazing job.
