Meet the artists

Professional makers

Not only do we deliver engaging and memorable pottery experiences, we’re also individual makers in our own right. Sarah Monk & Jon Williams ceramics have been exhibited widely and feature in private and public collections all over the world. We’ve taken part in important group shows and on more than one occasion been the focus of a solo exhibition. Our individual styles are very different – chalk & cheese you might say, but what we do share is a passion and appreciation of all things pottery.

Sarah Monk

I make and design small batch slipware. My approach to potting is relaxed and playful, every piece is treated with an excitement and love of clay. Little pieces of art for your home, to use and cherish. These can be purchased from my online shop, Contemporary Ceramics London or by visiting the studio.

Jon Williams

I make ceramic sculpture and decorative items, the majority of which have some sort of interactive element. My pottery is designed to be played with, shaken, struck, rocked, submerged in water or filled with microprocessors, speakers and wires! If I can make fired objects as multisensory, accessible and interactive as soft clay, I consider it a job well done.

A Memorable Experience

We’re all about making memories. If we can create a space where people feel valued and inspired, whether it’s at the Pottery or out in the wider community, we consider it a job well done. We love what we do and trust you will too.
