sun bathing clay model figure reclining on a beach towl made at eastnor pottery and the flying potterSand, sea and sun provide the inspiration for our latest clay modeling project called ‘Life’a Beach’.

Any body visiting the studio over the Summer months will get the opportunity to model and paint a beach scene using real clay and ceramic paints.

Although the project is primarily aimed at families, it might also inspire some of our regular potter’s wheel enthusiasts to try their hand at clay modelling as a creative alternative.

The mini-masterpieces will need to be dried, fired and glazed before they can be collected from the studio a few weeks later. P+P can be arranged at £5.

The 1 & ½ hr sessions are designed for potters 4yrs and upwards and places cost £20 per person.

Sessions start at 9.30am, 11.30am and 2pm and take place Tuesday – Saturday in the school holidays.

Although we are closed at the moment we intend to reopen 1st July 2020 and are currently taking bookings. Please call the Pottery on 01531 633886 or email admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk to book your place(s).

learn to make pottery at eastnor pottery beginers guide to making pottery on the pottery wheel at eastnor potteryTraditionally, June is a quiet month for our potter’s wheel weekends and one day workshops as the great British public’s attention is drawn towards the garden and other outside pursuits. Normally, we see a lull in the number of ‘would be potters’ and adjust the frequency of workshops accordingly. Not so this year! June has been as busy as any other month with hoards of participants beating a trail to our door.

We provide a complimentary lunch and participants have really enjoyed picnicking on the Pottery lawn in the Summer sunshine.

Here’s photo evidence of the potting public’s unwavering desire to make pottery in flaming June.
