Pottery monsters made after watching eastnor pottery tutorial

February half term would normally see us packed to the rafters with families and young people, enjoying an hour or two of pottery making. This year, and you don’t need reminding why, it was not to be.

In an attempt to engage our lovely audience we took to Facebook and broadcast x3 and totally FREE pottery tutorials for families to try at home.

What a fantastic response!

Thank you to everybody who took the time to share their fantastic clay models with us. We salute you.

Don’t worry if you weren’t able to ‘make along’ live, we’ve published the videos on our Facebook page so you can follow them at your leisure :)

We’d just like to say a whopper THANK YOU to all our beautiful customers who visited us in this unprecedented and crazy year. Without a doubt, it’s been complicated and challenging doing anything in 2020, so you all deserve a medal, you really do!

From our socially distanced perspective, we’ve enjoyed working with each and everyone of you.  Even though we cant see those fabulous smiles behind the face coverings, we’ve felt the love and positive vibes.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Eastnor Pottery in 2021 and are forever grateful for your patronage and support. In the meantime, you can book your New Year pottery experience online or purchase gift vouchers anytime, day and night from our website.

hand made egg cups and espresso mugs by eastnor potter sarah monkWith all the fabulous and inspiring courses and classes that take place at Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter, one might be forgiven for thinking this is the sole business activity. Far from it!

Artist founders Sarah Monk and Jon Williams  are makers in their own right and exhibit their unique ceramic designs in exhibitions and galleries all over the country.

Over the past 12 months Sarah has been developing her online shop which is brimming with examples of her small batch and one off creations. So, if you are searching for that one off, unique hand made Christmas gift, you know where to look!

Oh, and for those that prefer to experience pottery ‘in the flesh’ many of Sarah’s and Jon’s pots can be perused and purchased from the studio shop at the Pottery on the Eastnor Castle Estate. The Pottery shop is open Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm by appointment only. Please email admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk or call 01531 633886 to book a time slot.
