Sarah is super thrilled to be taking part in the Digital Craft Festival 26th  – 28th March 2021.

The online international event aims to promote the very best contemporary makers through an exciting program of talks demos and films. Visitors will also have the opportunity to buy direct from 150 selected artists working in all kinds of materials.

This is the first time she’s taken part:

“I’ve enjoyed this event lots in the past….. it’s so lovely! A fun filled weekend of craft demonstrations, interviews and workshops on InstagramFacebook and zoom.  The Digital Craft Festival is an opportunity I would ordinarily have to pass on, what with the 3.5k class participants that pass through the doors each year at Eastnor Pottery. As the Studio is currently closed to visitors I have had more time to focus on my own work. I’m launching lots of new designs in my shop especially for the event!”

As well as selling from her online shop, Sarah will be running a ‘make along’ zoom class.

“I will show you step by step how to make your own clay bug house and you can make along with me! No previous pottery experience is required. The pottery techniques I will be sharing with you are slab building and sgraffito decoration. Once you have made your wonderful clay house, leave it to air-dry at home.”

If you’d like to take part in the class you’ll need to purchase a ticket from her website.

Each year we take part in a FAB free event called Hey Clay.

The initiative is organised by The Crafts Council as part of the BBC’s Get Creative campaign and shines a spotlight on public participation in all things pottery and clay!

Hundreds of organisations across the UK throw open their doors, hosting thousands of free events and workshops. We’ve been involved with Hey Clay ever since it’s inception in 2015 and every year we invite individuals and families the Pottery to make a pot on the potter’s wheel for free.

No less than 120 visitors spread over three days crossed the threshold here at Eastnor Pottery and took a spin on the wheel. Here are just a few of them!

Hen party season is definitely upon us with groups of happy hens beating a path to our door. Saturday was particularly busy with no less than four separate groups of gals getting creative with the squidgy stuff.

Some of the groups made pots on the potter’s wheel whilst others made and painted clay sculpture – most of it pretty tasteful!!

If you’re a celebrating hen looking for a #henpartywithadifference then why not book your weekend in gloriously idyllic Herefordshire. We have a selection of projects/prices and a beautiful Potting Tent marquee decked out in fresh flowers, bunting and fairy lights. Why not take a gander at our expanding list of accommodation providers here on our website some of them specialising in large groups and hen parties.

On May 17-19 we will again be offering individuals and families the opportunity to make a pot on the potter’s wheel for FREE!

Hey Clay! is an annual, national event designed to increase participation in clay work and all things pottery. It’s organised by The Crafts Council and is part of the BBC’s Get Creative campaign.

We love Hey Clay and have taken part every year since it’s inception in 2015. It’s a brilliantly busy weekend and we get to meet lots of new people, most of which have never touched clay before.

Participants get to take their creations home on the day to dry and paint at home, or for a small fee, they can be left with us to be fired and glazed.

15 min slots are available through-out the three days but pre-booking is essential. Please tel 01531 633886 or email admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk to reserve a place.
