Liz's Pottery Hen PartyAnother Saturday, another pottery hen party! (and some people have to work for a living!!)

I have to admit these occasions are just as enjoyable for us as they are for the lovely people that participate. Liz (bride to be) had done some clay work at an evening class a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. When we popped up on google as a creative hen party idea in Herefordshire, she was keen to book a session.

The girls spent a lovely afternoon making pots on the potter’s wheel and producing some cracking coil pot creations. Liz’s clay dog was particularly impressive.

Please take a look at the photo album we’ve created on our facebook page.

pottery hen party at eastnor pottery herefordshireIt’s pottery hen party season again at Eastnor Pottery!

These lovely ladies (and a couple of mini potters for good measure!) spent a relaxing afternoon making and painting coil-pot creations in the studio.

Their ceramic masterpieces will be fired, glazed and returned to the group in time for Emily the hen to distribute on her big day.

We’ve published a few photos on our Facebook page.

Love these liitle coil pot creations made by the residents at Brierley Court in Hereford. Gemma led the workshop and the participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves.coil pot figures created by older participants at a pottery workshop session in hereford led by eastnor pottery and the flying potter

clay film collaboration at yart final event in herefordSix months, nine artists, copious young people and a shed load of blood, sweat and tears culminated on Sunday evening as the final YArt event took place in Hereford city centre. There was skateboarding, drama, singing, dancing, paintings, prints and pottery.

The resut was amazing and testiment to all the hard work invested by all involved and of course the talented youngsters we seem to have in abundance in Hfds.

Pictured here: video clips from the creative sessions held across the county, projected onto soft, clay tiles produced by the young participants.

Hereford ExpoOn Wednesday last week I booked a stand at the Hereford & Worcester Expo 2012 at Hereford Leisure Centre.
Despite the sharp suits and smart attire, I was pleasantly surprised at the willingness of delegates to try the potter’s wheel. A steady stream of participants throughout the day each made a clay pot on the wheel.
The fantastic results can be seen by visiting our facebook page.
