6 women standing round a table inside a marquee wearing aprons and holding wooden boards with hand modeled clay

Thanks for spending your hen party celebrations with us Laura – we loved working with you all.

Although we didn’t actually meet your lovely husband to be, I think we now have a good idea what he looks like!

BUCKET!

July 21 & 28

August 4, 11 & 18

We’re delighted to announce details of our fun and creative sessions for families in the approaching summer holidays.

Bucket is the seasonal theme and participants will make a ‘coil pot’ bucket filled with seaside inspired loveliness. The spoils of rock pooling come to mind – crabs, fish, seashells etc but equally the bucket might be hiding a deep sea monster, octopus or a blue whale – anything goes!

As soon as families have finished modelling their creations, they’ll have the opportunity to paint them using a rainbow of coloured slips and underglazes. The work will need to dry thoroughly before it’s fired and glazed. This whole process takes about a month and participants will be contacted once their pottery has emerged from the kiln.

If customers are unable to collect their masterpieces, P+P can be arranged at £5 per model.

The clay fueled fun takes place on the following dates: 21 July, 28 July, 4 Aug, 11 Aug and 18 Aug with 1.5 hr sessions starting at 9.30am, 11.30am and 2pm.

The cost is £20 per person and all children must be accompanied by a fee paying adult. (Due to social distancing, there isn’t space for spectators or helpers – sorry!)

Book your places ONLINE or telephone 01531 633886.

4 pots stacked on top of one another to form a sculpture taken from a birds eye view

Amazing work produced by a mother and daughter combo who attended our two day potter’s wheel course in May 2021.

Day one is spent making lots and lots and lots of pots on the wheel – you’ll be amazed at how productive you can be once you’ve got the hang of things! The pots are left to go leather hard overnight so they are primed and ready to work on the next day.

Day two is all about trimming, turning, assembling and adding colour! Phew! We love the splatter technique – used to great effect here by Elizabeth. Jean decided to combine all of her thrown pots into a magnificent structure – brilliant! Well done ladies

Our weekend and two day courses take place once or twice a month and cost £280 per person.

We loved working with these guys!

The fellas have all been mates since their university days at Nottingham Trent University and once or twice a year meet up to spend some time together.

This year it was Pottery in Herefordshire. Yay!

If you’re looking for the perfect activity for a family/friends get together then please take a look at our Introduction To The Potter’s Wheel Class at £40 per person.

Our Junior Content Producer Apprentice Katie has designed a fab new sticker.

How do you get your hands on one of these? Simple! Enroll on one of our incredibly popular Introduction To The Potter’s Wheel classes and you’ll be issued with one on completion of your experience.

Here’s what Katie said about the design:

“I thoroughly enjoyed designing these stickers. I wanted  to capture the beautiful Herefordshire countryside surrounding the Pottery in an eye catching design customers would be happy and proud to display. I printed the prototypes at home on my illustration commissions printer just to see what they looked like. Once I was happy with the design, I sent it off to the printers for an initial print run of 5000! – I’m so looking forward to seeing how customers respond – who doesn’t love a sticker!”
