Row row row your boat inspired pottery fun for kids at Eastnor Pottery nr LedburyRow row row your boat gently down the stream, If you see a crocodile don’t forget to scream……

We are delighted to announce details of our popular and entertaining clay sessions for children in the school summer holidays.

This time, the potter’s wheel fun will be inspired by all things associated with marine craft.

Children as young as 4YRS are invited to make a boat shape on the potter’s wheel. They will also have the opportunity to hand model characters and objects to accessorize their wheel thrown creation.

The resulting clay masterpieces will be left to dry before being fired, ready for collection from the Pottery a few weeks later.

4-8yrs can join in with the creative fun 11.30am-1pm. 9-12yrs get to make at 2pm-3.30pm, although older or younger siblings will never be turned away from either session. Places cost £15 per child with a 10% discount for x3 or more places booked.

Please call the booking hotline 01531 633886 or email to reserve a place.

Eastnor Pottery and Bishops Cleeve work together to make terracotta coil pot plantersGreat to see these wonderful collaborative plant pots potted up and positively blooming! They were made by three classes of YR3 youngsters at Bishops Cleeve Academy in Gloucestershire. The pots were made in April when Jon visited the school and are encrusted with bugs and mini beasts, exquisitely modelled by the talented children. The terracotta art-works now take pride of place in the school’s sensory garden.

Eastnor Pottery's Previous Tile Panel made at Northwick Manor Infants SchoolThe Summer term is a particularly busy time  as a lot of schools hire our services for a special ‘one off’ creative project.

We’ve been facilitating clay workshops for schools in the Three Counties for the past 20 years and I reckon we’ve worked with at least 3/4 of the educational settings in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

It is always a pleasure to rekindle a relationship with a school we’ve worked with previously – we also get to see how the creative results have stood the test of time.

Even though the children who made the work have long since grown up, it’s always a delight to see past ceramic successes still on public display. Here’s a couple of tile panels we’ve come across in the last few weeks.
