superb pottery skills at eastnor pottery

On our Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel Class you get to make two pots each. We then ask you to select your fave for firing.

Sometimes it’s an easy choice! ;) other times participants are faced with a difficult decision!

This adult family of four did really well, their pottery prowess reflected in the quality of their final selection. Well done everybody!

Intro to the potter's wheel participants show off their painted pots at eastnor pottery and the flying potter

We love returners we do!

Kate and her fella Matt first visited Eastnor Pottery participating in our Intro to the Potter’s Wheel class. Kate was pregnant at the time and even though it was a bit of a stretch beyond her bump to reach the wheel, threw an amazing pot!

Here’s her review:

“LOVED IT! From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Jon and staff were so helpful and friendly. Jon shown us how to use the wheel and helped us. A real one to one experience. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend. Great place. Thank you x”

Fast forward a year or so and Kate returned to the studio with her beautiful baby boy and best friend Ashleigh. She’d enjoyed the experience so much she’d purchased it as a birthday present for Ashleigh.

The group made such a pretty picture we couldn’t resist going through the archives and publishing these super cute photos documenting their visit.

As one might expect, the group size we entertain here at Eastnor Pottery has shrunk somewhat in 2020. Where as we regularly worked with between 12 – 20 people in one sitting, recent parties haven’t exceeded anymore than x6 participants.

We are chuffed to report despite the small participant numbers, the quality of what we offer remains consistently high.

Take Arjun and his family for example.

These guys spent a weekend in Herefordshire celebrating dad’s special birthday. They walked the Malvern Hills, ate out and finished up with our Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel.

Arjun wrote a five star review – Thanks Arjun!:

“We booked Jon’s pottery experience to celebrate our father’s birthday. From the moment we arrived Sarah & Jon were both very accommodating and friendly. None of our group had any previous experience with pottery but with Jon’s guidance (and patience!) we all made some pots which we could be proud of! Overall, I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is thinking of trying something different and wants to do a group activity during a weekend break.”
