this smelly sardine formed part of a huge pottery foul feast in honour of roald dahls the twits at eastnor castle herefordshireDespite the torrential downpours and 1/2 the workshop tables were underwater, we pressed on with making the collaborative feast for the Twits.

Aptly, participants turned their creative skill to modelling a plate full of smelly sardines and foul fish. We also produced a plate of noses & chips!

Check out the rather soggy pics from yesterday.

trio of clay animals made by three young visitors to eastnor pottery and the flying potter in herefordshireThese three happy potters wanted to make some pottery in the school holidays. Just so happened we’ve launched our drop-in family sessions aimed at the more casual Eastnor Pottery visitor.

Mum Louise rang up a few days before to book the girls in and the next thing they knew was they were producing an excellent clay trio of models comprising of penguin, bull and blue elephant creation. Good work you three!

drop-in participants sample the creative delights of working with clay

New for the Summer season 2012 – Drop-in workshops at Eastnor Pottery!

Over the May Bank holiday we thought we’d try and encourage visitors to Eastnor into the Pottery by offering a range of clay activities without the need to book in advance.

The pilot was extremely encouraging and as a result, starting from the 19th May, we are going to open our doors on selected weekends throughout the Summer, inviting passers by and families to drop-in and try a bit of pottery.

We’ll have a menu of exciting projects availible between the hours of 11am & 4pm suitable for adults and children and ranging in price from £5-£20. Please contact the Pottery for available dates 01531 633886 or admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk

family pottery worksshop at eastnor pottery herefordshireThis family had a Christmas get-together in Herefordshire. Part of their festive plans involved a spot of creative, clay play here at Eastnor Pottery.

Although three generations were represented, the making was the responsibiliy of the young people – the older family members spectated, taking great delight in what the potters made.

Clay highlights included a piggybank, lantern and a spongebob house!

If you and your family would like a morning or afternoon of pottery fun then please take a look at our family and friends sessions.
