We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Sculpture at Kingham Lodge in Oxfordshire.
Over the past few weeks, Jon has had the opportunity to collaborate with schools local to Kingham, working with staff and children to make a range of collaborative terracotta sculptures.
The pieces are destined to be exhibited alongside professional sculptures created by renowned artists in the beautiful gardens at Kingham Lodge. The show opens 5th – 13th May 2018.
These value oaks were commissioned and made by all the children at Dines Green Primary School in Worcester.
Each child made and painted a pottery leaf based upon one of the six school values. Quite a challenging task to make mini clay decoration symbolising notions of respect, resilience, reflection, curiosity, empathy and honesty!
We are delighted at how well Aimee and Immy have settled into life here at Eastnor Pottery and the Flying Potter. In fact the pair are positively flying!
As well as all the wedging, fettling, kiln packing and cleaning, the girls have become very proficient at making pots on the potter’s wheel. So much so we haven’t had any hesitation in letting them share their new found talents with customers of all ages and abilities.
