Hen making a pot on the potter's wheel at eastnor pottery and the flying potterThe unseasonably good weather meant we were able to host our first pottery hen party of 2017 in our fabulous Potting Tent marquee on the Pottery garden lawn.

The girls had so much fun taking turns on three potter’s wheels making a ‘dazzling’ array of jugs, pots and plates. We’ll now fire and glaze the creative output in good time for the wedding in June.

If you’ve got an event or family celebration coming up, and quite like the look of The Potting Tent, then give us a call or drop us a line Tel 01531 633886 admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk

Hardwick House is a half hour drive from Eastnor Pottery and is the perfect country retreat for large groups of girls looking for a Gloucestershire base. (The grand steps leading up to the front door always make for a good group photo too)

This particular bunch made and painted coil pots as well as each taking a turn on the potter’s wheel.

The fruits of their creative labour will be fired, glazed and returned to the girls in time for the bride’s big day.

Clay themed Hen Party at Eastnor Pottery

We had decided Hayley’s pottery hen party would be the final event of the season to be held in our lovely ‘Potting Tent’ marquee on the Pottery lawn. We assumed that by the end of October, the conditions would be too cold and uncomfortable out there for our guests to get the most from their clay experience.

That was before the decking went down and we discovered the positive thermal effect of fan heaters!

Here we are at the beginning of December and the Potting Tent is still going strong as an attractive and creative environment for pottery workshops and special occasions.

Hayley and her hens had a fab time in the Potting Tent making hollow sculptures and taking turns on the potter’s wheels – no extra layers of clothing required!

Supporting the hens on their pottery themed hen party

Loved this card board cut out of the groom to be who appeared on a table top at a recent potter’s wheel hen party. We assume the boys had something similar at their stag do taking place at the same time? ;)

The girls all took turns on x4 potter’s wheels and made some rather nice shapes and vessels.

We’ll aim to get the pots fired and glazed in time for the wedding so they’ll be able to display their creative exploits on the ‘top table’ :)
