Children’s workshops in the Easter Holiday . Fry-up! Wed 11th April 2018
We are delighted to announce details of our fun and creative children’s pottery workshop sessions for the Easter Holiday.
The great British breakfast provides the inspiration and participants make a plate on the potter’s wheel and then fill it with modelled clay bangers, bacon and eggs!
The children will be using terracotta clay and their fired creations will be ready for collection from the Pottery approx. one month later.
Sessions are designed for two age groups although younger and older siblings will never be turned away: 11.30am-1pm 4-8YRS and 2-3.30pm 9-12YRS.
Places cost £15 per child with a 10% discount for x3 or more places booked. Telephone or email booking essential. 01531 633886 email@example.com
FREE wheeling III 23 – 25 March 2018
Once again we are ‘throwing’ caution to the wind and taking part in the immensely popular, terribly creative and extremely good fun HEY CLAY event.
We are inviting individuals and families to make a pot on the potter’s wheel for FREE.
Participants get to take their creations away on the day to dry and paint at home or, they can be left with us to be fired and glazed at just £10. An additional £5 per pot will entitle the maker to paint their pot in ceramic colour right there and then.
15 min time slots available all day. Pre-booking essential. Tel 01531 633886 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We also have oodles of FREE parking on site.
HEY CLAY! is a national celebration of clay which gives everyone the chance to unleash their inner potter at venues across the UK through free workshops and taster sessions.
The event is organised by The Crafts Council and takes place 23rd – 25th March as part of the BBC’s GET CREATIVE FESTIVAL
Here are a few pics from last year’s Hey Clay:
We hosted our first ever pottery hen party over 20 years ago having been approached by a brides maid looking for a creative hen party activity for an arty hen.
We were (and still are) always up for a challenge and said ‘yes’ without too much hesitation. It just sounded like such an interesting, novel and fun preposition.
Little did we anticipate at the time, hen parties would become such a huge (and hugely enjoyable!) part of our workshop offer.
Here are a few photos from Claire’s particularly lovely pottery hen party experience we facilitated Autumn 2017. The girls made and painted coil pot goblets which looked stunning once they had been fired and glazed.
