2016 was our busiest year to date working with aspiring potters of all ages and abilities here at Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter. The popularity in pottery in 2016 was in part, inspired by BBC2’s The Great Pottery Throw Down programme broadcast in the Autumn of 2015. Man, the power of television!
We facilitated no less than 50 weekend and day potter’s wheel workshops – phew!!!
Although we were working ‘flat out’ delivering the best possible potter’s wheel experience for our visitors, we are all in agreement, it was a genuine pleasure to work with each and every one of our customers.
Our attention is now firmly fixed on our 2017 potter’s wheel workshop dates and we are looking forward to sharing the therapeutic benefits of working with clay with the new cohort of potential potter’s.
Here’s what some our most recent potter’s wheel workshop participants have had to say about their Eastnor Pottery Experience:
“Brilliant day”
Attended the one day workshop at the weekend. It was great fun. Highly recommend it. The staff were great, so helpful and patient! Teas & coffees plus biscuits on arrival and through out the day. Lovely lunch provided. It was a very warm welcoming and creative atmosphere. If I lived nearer I would be attending more workshops. And the great thing was actually made some pots! Great experience. Go for it.
“Loved every minute ”
What an amazing weekend, so much fun and laughter, couldn’t have been looked after better, would highly recommend to anyone who wants to try something different and laugh. Thanks to all who looked after us xx
Thank you Jon for a brilliant 2 days. I would highly recommend coming on your course and really pleased we did the whole weekend as we made some wonderful creations. I had so much fun, getting splattered with clay, making unusual shaped pots and eating a delicious lunch. The individual attention was great and the pace of learning was perfect. I had no idea we would be carving our pots and painting them into something that will last us forever.
My daughter really enjoyed it too! Her pots were beautiful and she felt a great sense of achievement. we will be back to do it again as you were all such lovely people. Big hug.
