One of the many highlights of my workshop year is the annual pilgrimage to King Edward VI School in Aston for their Festival of Cultures extravaganza.
I get to share my clay skills with the students throughout the day in a series of pottery workshops and then, in the evening, the whole place becomes a vibrant celebration of arts, culture and food from around the globe. Hundreds of parents and friends stream through the gates to enjoy the fare and entertainment. Great stuff.
I was based in the art room, offering visitors a go on the potter’s wheel.
