Head of a clay chicken made by Jon Williams and all the pupils at Madresfield Primary SchoolThis amazing collaborative chicken head was made by all the children at Madresfield Primary School in Worcestershire.

Each class helped make chicken sections using the coil pot technique -enough to make two large birds covered in individual, decorated clay feathers.

The sculptures were inspired by Rosie & Daisy, a couple ex-battery hens recently acquired by the School.

Once ‘the girls’ have been fired they will be exhibited as part of the annual Voices and Visions exhibition at Worcester Cathedral – a celebration of all the creativity that has taken place in Worcestershire Schools during 2012/13.
