donna and friends celebrate her birthday by making pottery at eastnor pottery herefordshireEverybody say CHEESE!

Best friend Liz arranged a surprise potter’s wheel workshopfor Donna’s birthday and judging by her reaction as she entered the studio, probably one of the best kept secrets this side of Milton Keynes – she was flabbergasted and quite overcome – brilliant stuff!

The girls and their respective husbands spent the day on the potter’s wheels making some pretty amazing pots. I was quietly confident of the potential quality when they revealed their occupations: x2 graphic designers and x2 builders! Creatives and those who have an understanding of materials (bakers, builders, artisans) generally excel themselves. Donna, Liz, Nick and Richard certainly didn’t disappoint!

Thanks so much for the fun and very hands-on day. It was much more than we expected and we are all so pleased with our creations. I think Nick may have found his calling in life – such a natural! You have a special set up on the farm in a lovely part of the country and I would recommend your workshops to anyone interested in trying something different. We didn’t stop smiling all day and reminiscing over a few drinks into the evening was such a laugh.

    Many thanks,
    Liz

Thank you for an amazing day which was such a wonderful surprise. I had so much fun and couldn’t have imagined a better birthday treat! It was great that we got the chance to experiment on the wheel over the course of a full day and i think we were all surprised at what we achieved, some more than others (Nick, you obviously did this in a former life!!)

I will definitely be back as soon as i get the chance.

    Thanks again,
    Donna x
