This family had a Christmas get-together in Herefordshire. Part of their festive plans involved a spot of creative, clay play here at Eastnor Pottery.
Although three generations were represented, the making was the responsibiliy of the young people – the older family members spectated, taking great delight in what the potters made.
Clay highlights included a piggybank, lantern and a spongebob house!
If you and your family would like a morning or afternoon of pottery fun then please take a look at our family and friends sessions.
Step away from those mince pies and put down the chocolate coins, it’s time to get the clay out!
These creative youngsters are just a small selection of participants who took part in our Christmas holiday workshops on Thursday.
Father Christmas provided the initial inspiration for the clay fun, but as we actively encourage the children’s imagination at every turn, we ended up with all kinds of models including snowmen, reindeer, cats, dogs, horses and a smurf!
We were so impressed by the children’s creativity, we’ll create a photo album on our Eastnor Pottery facebook page…watch this space!
Generally, the Christmas workshops are not as well attended compared to the sessions we run in all the other school holidays. Not the case this year though, as we were pretty much up to capacity, running several 1.5 hr sessions throughout the day.
The next sessions take place in the Spring 1/2 term holiday on the 15 & 16 February. The workshops are designed for two age groups, 4-8yrs and 9-12yrs but older and younger siblings are never turned away. We are still working on a theme but the sessions will definitely include a go on the potter’s wheel.
Please email email@example.com or tel 01531 633886 to reserve your place.

Introducing Elena who will be joining team E.P over the next few months to produce a range of promotional videos and animations.
We hooked up with Graduate Advantage to advertise the post and Elena got in touch having seen the opportunity on their website.
Elena graduated from Aberystwyth University in the summer with BA Hons in film making and mathmatics. Her short films will be posted on our website and advertise all the wonderful things we do here at Eastnor Pottery.
We look forward to working with Elena and are excited to see what she’ll come up with.
Evelyn celebrated her 10th birthday at Eastnor Pottery with friends and family.
The party made owl & pussycat sculptures, the boats of which were produced on the potter’s wheel. Once the clay had been cleared away the children tucked into a picnic tea.
